Kurds in Europe: Stop Turkey's drone war in Kurdistan

The international community must stop Turkey's drone war in Kurdistan, demanded the Kurds living in Europe in several demonstrations.

Protests against Turkey's drone war in Kurdistan took place on Saturday in different European cities. The Kurdish European Association KCDK-E and the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) called for the protests after the drone attacks carried out by Turkey reached a new level of escalation this week.

According to the Rojava Information Center (RIC), 64 people died in a total of 49 drone attacks in the autonomous region of North and East Syria alone this year. Fifteen of the fatalities were civilians, the other 49 belonged to the military units that continue to fight against the Islamic State and resist the Turkish occupation attacks. Of the 53 injured, 17 were civilians, including three children.

The latest drone attack in northern Syria on Wednesday hit a car belonging to Jin TV, which reports on current developments and backgrounds from a woman's perspective. The film crew was on their way to a report.

The driver of the car, Necmeddîn Feysel, was killed in the attack and journalist Delîla Egîd was seriously injured. Turkey also continued to carry out drone attacks in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, killing at least four people on Thursday.

Against this background, people took to the streets in Duisburg, Munich, Darmstadt, Saarbrücken, Frankfurt and other cities to protest against the attacks that violated international law. Attacks on journalists and civilians are considered war crimes worldwide.

During the protests in Europe, Kurds demanded the international community to speak out against the Turkish state's drone terror.
