Kurds living in Italy met in the city of Grosseto, in Tuscany, to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the 15 August Initiative, which is considered a milestone for the history of Kurds and Kurdistan.

The celebration was attended by Kurds coming from many parts of Italy and started with a minute's silence in memory of the Kurdistan Freedom Martyrs.

Politician İbrahim Kasaroğlu gave information about the establishment of the PKK, the 14 July Great Death Fast Resistance, and the 15 August Initiative, led by commanders such as Egîd (Mahsum Korkmaz) and Erdal (Mustafa Yondem).
