Kurds living in Bern held a demonstration to protest the Iraqi state's attacks on Shengal.
Kurds protested the Iraqi state's attack on Shengal in the Swiss canton of Bern with a demonstration in front of the US Consulate.
The activists shouted slogans against the invading Turkish state and the Iraqi state, while saluting the resistance carried out by the guerrillas and the YBŞ (Shengal Defense Forces).
Making a short speech, Bern Kurdish Cultural Association co-spokesperson Münir Ay stated that the imperialist powers were involved in a war aimed at dividing people and eliminating the gains of the Kurdish people.
Ay underlined that it was not a coincidence that the Iraqi state attacked Shengal at a time when the Turkish state was carrying out heavy attacks against the Kurds, and added that the guerrillas and YBŞ would neutralize these attacks.
Calling on the international community to put pressure on Iraq and the Turkish state, Ay said that the Kurdish people will always stand by the guerrillas.
