The representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to the UK said some Kurdish people protested at the KRG office in London Friday. The office is now protected by the British police.
The protesters are still outside the building. KRG people inside have immediately called the police asking for protection.
The protest in London follows Thursday’s protest in the Kurdistan Region, northern Iraq, where an underage was killed and some 51 were wounded.
Protesters poured Thursday into the streets of the second largest city in Kurdistan demanding dissolution of the Kurdistan Regional parliament and government. Though it meant to be a peaceful demo and the Kurdish authority had sanctioned it, the protesters used stones to attack the headquarters of the major political parties in the Region.
