Kurds in Europe took to the streets after reports about Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan’s health.
After calls from various Kurdish organizations thousands of Kurds took to the streets throughout Europe on Sunday, and demanded explanation from Turkish authorities about Öcalan’s health and security.
There were reports in social media about Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan last week. After these reports Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa released a statement and said that the reports are false, that there is nothing wrong with the health of Öcalan.
Still, the statement of the prosecutor cannot be verified because no one is allowed to visit the Kurdish leader since September 2016. Kurdish organizations demand that Turkish authorities allow a visit to Imrali Island Prison where Öcalan is jailed.
