The Kurdish people living in Germany are organising different demonstration at the weekend to protest against the execution of 5 political prisoners in Iran, last Sunday.
The Germany-Kurdish Federation (YEK-KOM) has confirmed that demonstrations against the executions will be held in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hannover at the weekend.
YEK-KOM said that “we shouldn’t keep silent and denounce the executions carried out by the Iran regime. The executions are continuing in Iran and Europe is just acting as a mere spectator. Because the executed people are Kurdish, this silence is becoming heavier. Those who defend humanity and human rights can’t remain silent.”
YEK-KOM called for members of all associations to protest against the Iranian executions and the repression against Kurds.
The demonstrations organised at the weekend in Germany will be starting today in Berlin (Miting Breidscheidplatz / in front of Demolished Church, at 16:00), followed by a demo in Hannover tomorrow (Miting Klopkeplatz, at 13:00). Again tomorrow in Düsseldorf there will be a rally(Assembly Area; DGB Haus Friedrich-Ebert Str, 13:00)
