The weekly demo demanding justice for PKK founding member Sakine Cansız (Sara), KNK Paris representative Fidan Doğan (Rojbin) and Youth Movement member Leyla Şaylemez (Ronahi), who had been massacred in Paris on January 9, 2013, continued in Paris today.
This week's demonstration was held under the leadership of the Committee for the Families of Martyrs in Paris with the participation of dozens who reiterated their demand for the exposure and punishment of those responsible for the murder of Sakine, Fidan and Leyla.
Protestors staged a march from Paris Democratic Society Center office to the Kurdistan Information Office where the three Kurdish women had been murdered 4 years ago.
Zozan Serhat, member of the Movement of Kurdish Women in France, spoke on behalf of the demonstrators and said the followings:
“The French judiciary will resort to extend the case over a period of time for the abatement of action after the death of Ömer Güney, gunman in the Paris killings.
It is to be seen which path will be followed by French authorities who had announced before the death of the gunman that the hearing was scheduled to begin on January 23. We will gather in front of the Paris courthouse at 13:00 on January 23, Monday, and we will reiterate our demand for the exposure of the dark forces behind this massacre."
Zozan Serhat called for strong participation in the demonstration to be held in front of the courthouse in Paris Cité next Monday.
