Mersin BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) MP Ertuðrul Kürkçü has just finished his visit in Rome where he met with the Italian Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee. Kürkçü was welcomed by Furio Colombo MP (the president of the committee, member of the Democratic Party) and spoke at length to the members of the committee. In particular Kürkçü has underlined how the Kurdish people peace expectation after the June general election have been crushed by the ongoing mass arrest campaign by the Turkish authorities. The Italian MPs have asked several questions to Kürkçü who also underlined how crucial is the work on the new Constitution.

Kürkçü also met civil society organizations in a couple of well attended meetings.
