Day 85 without news from Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. Indeed the brother of Öcalan, Mehmet has been granted permission to visit him last week. But for the lawyers still is confirmed the rejection of their meeting. Lawyers from Asrýn Hukuk Office, have been denied their visit once again because of problems with the boat supposed to take them to Imralý island where the Kurdish leader is kept since 1999.
The last time the lawyers had the chance to visit their client was 27 July.
Today once more lawyers Ömer Güneþ, Mazlum Dinç, Alpay Özer and Ýbrahim Bilmez will ask permission to go to Imralý.
In the meeting with his brother, Öcalan, had pointed out that it has been the government which decided to abandon talks with the Kurdish movement. Öcalan also warned of hard times ahead should talks not been resumed.
