EP Socialists and Democrats Group Vice Chair Josef Weidenholzer wrote a letter to the EP President regarding HDP Amed MP Feleknas Uca.

The letter points out the de facto foreign travel ban imposed upon Uca.

The letter marked “urgent” addressed to the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani states that Uca’s Turkish passport has been confiscated and her German passport has been invalidated.

Weidenholzer stated that Uca is still a German citizen to date, and that former EP member Joost Lagendijk also has similar issues traveling to and from Turkey.

Josef Weidenholzer called on the European Parliament Presidency to be conscious of this issue and to take action.
