'AKP IS BEHIND THE TRIPLE MURDER IN PARIS'

Addressing the crowd here, Ayşe Acar Başaran, Spokeswoman of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Women's Assembly, noted that the forces behind the 2013 triple murder in Paris have not been revealed even after 10 years. Başaran said: “We know that the AKP government is behind the 2013 murders. None of these murders is a coincidence. Male-dominated governments and those seeking to institutionalize their oppressive regimes and warmongering governments have targeted women first. They seek to expand and organize the war through the bodies of women. The power behind those who murdered our friends in Paris and three other friends in Silopi is the same. Nagihan Akarsel was murdered in Sulaymaniyah, Hevrin Xelef in North and East Syria and most recently, three Kurds were murdered at Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Centre in Paris.”

Başaran remarked that had the perpetrators of the 2013 massacre been revealed, the latest massacre in the same city would not have taken place. Başaran emphasized that massacres and attacks would not stop the women's struggle. “When it comes to the Kurds and women, the same notorious scenario comes into play in any part of the world,” she added.
