In a joint written statement, Dersim Construction Congress (DIK), Kürecik People Initiative, Maraş Democratic Associations Federation (MARDEF), Central Anatolian Kurds Platform (PKAN), said they will put all efforts in the KCK-led ‘End isolation, fascism, occupation. Time to ensure freedom’ initiative.

The Local Associations Platform said: "Turkey and Kurdistan have suffered repression repression for years. A multi-faceted war and genocide against the Kurds, in all parts of Kurdistan, continues. Construction workers, agricultural workers, who are the targets of increasing racism in Western metropolises, are killed just because they are Kurds. Yet, the most unlawful, illegal and brutal form of these policies, is the 20-year long isolation in which Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan is kept.”

The statement added: “As institutions members of the Local Associations Platform, we see ourselves as the victim of these pressures and therefore one of the main parties of the campaign launched by the KCK, ‘End isolation, fascism, occupation. Time to ensure freedom’. We are suffering all the oppression, tyranny, injustice and unlawfulness because we are Kurds, Alevis, from different religious and ethnic identities, laborers and women.”

The statement ended with the following remarks: “For this reason, we would like to express that we will take our place in the campaign, and we will make every effort to make it successful. With this awareness, we call all our members to contribute to this campaign in every environment and in any way they can."
