London, Brighton and Manchester protested Turkish occupation

London, Manchester and Brighton protested the Turkish state's invasion attacks on North East Syria and the massacres of civilians with demos and actions.

Demonstrations against the invasion of Northern and Eastern Syria were held in London, Manchester and Brighton.

LONDON

The London Revolutionary Patriotic Youth Movement promoted an action in front of Kings Cross station to protest Turkey's attempt to invade the North East Syria.

People chanted slogans like “Erdoğan is the Terrorist” and “Hitler yesterday, Erdoğan today”.

Speaking at the action, Youth Movement Spokesperson Elif Gün said: "The occupation attacks carried out by the Turkish state led to civilian massacres in Rojava."

Boycott Turkey!

A call was made to boycott Turkish product and tourism. Activists underlined that "every penny that goes to Turkey is spent againts the people of Kurdistan, in Rojava."

Some tense moments were lived between the police and the group of young people but nothings serious. 

BRIGHTON

Hundreds of people gathered at Churcill Square Square in Brighton responding to the call by the Democratic Kurdistan Community Congress in Europe (KCDK-E).

The Turkish state and Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan were protested. Anti-fascist and anarchist groups supported the action. Yasser Kobane made a statement on behalf of the Kurdish People's Assembly and emphasized that the Turkish state would like to invade Rojava and carrying out a genocide against Kurds. Kobane said that standing against the invasion means defending humanity and added that all peoples and identities should raise their voice against the occupation. 

MANCHESTER

People gathered in Saint Peter Square in Manchester responding to the call issued by KCDK-E and marched against the attempted invasion of Rojava.

Members of the Revolutionary Communist League and Solidarity Group with Palestinians and Militant Labor Forum joined the march in one of Manchester's most central streets, Portland Street.

The march ended at Piccadily Garden. Here speeches were made commending the people of Rojava and the resistance they are carrying out against the invading Turkish army and its mercenary allies.

A call was made to boycott Turkish products and tourism.
