Internationalist activists from 15 countries and representatives of Kurdish institutions in Europe continue their march to Strasbourg which they launched from Luxembourg on February 1 with the motto 'Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan' in protest at the international conspiracy that targeted Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 15, 1999.
On the 10th day of the protest, demonstrators continue their march from the town of Wasselonne and aim to reach Strasbourg after covering 27 kilometers today.
Carrying posters of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and flags of PKK and KCK, participants are handing out leaflets throughout the course of the march that provide detailed information about the isolation Öcalan is subjected to by the Turkish state in İmralı Island Prison.
Enthusiasm of the demonstrators is growing as they get closer to Strasbourg and the slogans they chant in various languages, voicing their demand for the freedom of the Kurdish people, resonate on the streets they pass through.
Participants of the march will be attending the mass rally to be held in Strasbourg on February 11 to condemn the 15 February 1999 international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
