The annual Long March (Meşa Dirêj) for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, organized by the European Youth Movements TCŞ and TekoJIN, kicked off in Cologne, Germany on Saturday.

This year's Long March action will continue from Cologne to Aachen from September 11 to September 16.

The march is attended by Kurdish and internationalist youth from a variety of European countries. The march began today in Cologne after a moment of silence in memory of Martyr Senar Zagros and all the Kurdistan revolution martyrs. TCŞ , TekoJIN, and TJK-E delivered speeches at the start of the march.

The talks touched upon the genocidal invasion attacks carried out in Kurdistan, the isolation imposed on all the Kurdish people in the person of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and the epic guerrilla resistance.
