Low turnout abroad costs the Green Left Party 3 deputies

The voters who did not go to the polls abroad cost 3 deputies in the 14 May elections.

The final results of the Presidential and General Elections were not finalized due to objections. The Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), which aimed to increase the number of deputies with the addition of foreign votes, lost MPs in 3 cities. The Green Left Party lost the 3 deputies to the AKP due to the low turnout abroad.

The Green Left Party could not get a 5th deputy in Urfa (Riha), a 4th in Batman (Êlîh) and a deputy in Antep (Semsûr).

The MP lost by the Green Left Party in Batman went to AKP candidate and HUDA PAR Spokesperson Serkan Ramanlı, while the one lost in Urfa went to AKP candidate Faruk Pınarbaşı. The Green Left Party could not get any parliamentary seats in Antep because of the low turnout abroad.

The AKP continues its objections in Hakkari (Colêmerg), where the Green Left Party won 3 deputies.
