Haydar Erdogan, a distributor of the monthly magazine Ozgur Halk (Free People) has been sentenced to a year and three months in prison for ‘making propaganda for an illegal organization.

Erdogan’s last hearing was on Thursday at Diyarbakir 4th Heavy Penal Court. According to the judge, Haydar Erdoðan made propaganda by distributing the magazine although the confiscation orders.

The court sentenced him to a year and three months in prison for making propaganda of an illegal organization. He has been released since he spent enough time under detention during the trial.
