Many people remain in police custody after been arrested yesterday in the cities of Batman, Diyarbakýr and Yüksekova. Demonstrators were marching to show their solidarity with the Kurdish politicians and activists on trial in Diyarbakýr.

Clashes between police and demonstrators broke out in Batman, Diyarbakýr and Yüksekova.

In Hakkari, two protestors were injured after being hit by gas bombs and three of them were detained.

Batman also, according to DIHA news agency turned into a battle field after the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) press conference about the trial was blocked by police.

Clashes also erupted in Cizre district of Þýrnak.
