The Long March organised in Paris to demand freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and status for Kurdisan has ended with a rally in front of the French Parliament.
The Long March staged in Paris for Freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and Status for Kurdistan resumed on its third day as participants walked from Denfert- Rochererau Square to the French Parliament today. Throughout their route, demonstrators handed out leaflets telling about the isolation imposed by the Turkish state on Öcalan in İmralı Island Prison.
The march ended with a rally in front of the French Parliament where Zozan Serhat on behalf of the Kurdish Women's Movement in France spoke.
Serhat stressed that: "Freedom of Leader Apo is the freedom of the Kurdish people. No problem in Kurdistan and the Middle East will be resolved unless our Leader is free. We will be on the streets every day until Leader Apo is free."
Demonstrators submitted a file consisting of details on Öcalan's isolation to the French Parliament.
