March from Lausanne to Geneva kicks off today

Kurds living in Europe today will begin the 3-day march from Lausanne to Geneva to protest the genocidal attack of the invading Turkish state against South Kurdistan.

A 3-day long march from Lausanne to Geneva organised by the "Defend Kurdistan" Initiative against the invading attacks carried out by Turkey begins today.

The march will begin with a press release to be held in Lausanne on 10 July, with the slogan ‘Let's Defend Kurdistan Against the Turkish Occupation’.

Intellectuals, artists, politicians, party representatives and civil society organizations from Kurdistan, Turkey, Switzerland and Europe, will join the march.

Panels, seminars, public meetings and concerts will be organised on the days of the march in the various cities.

The Swiss Democratic Kurdish Societies (CDK-S) and the Swiss Kurdish Women's Movement (YJK-S) called on all activists and all democratic circles to join the march.
