Reports last night said that the march led by intellectuals and artists in Dersim against military operations and dams had been exposed to gun shot for at least five minutes. The safety of intellectuals and citizens was seen as in danger and the organizers decided to end the “Peace Guard” earlier than expected.

A number of artists, intellectual authors, civil public organizations and representatives of political parties, who came together in Dersim with the slogan “End to operations, Munzur will flow freely”, were met by the interference of soldiers. Three people from Gendarme and intelligence team ranking among the group were noticed when they tried to take the bag of a woman. When young people wanted to take the bag from them, the 3 persons pointed gun towards these young people and fired the gun into the air.
