Martyr Savaş Amed Revenge Unit claimed responsibility in a written statement for an action in Istanbul and added that the action was part of the "End Isolation, Fascism, Occupation; Time to Ensure Freedom" campaign launched by the KCK.

The statement continued: “Martyr Savaş Amed Revenge Unit promises that we will be leading the path in the the KCK campaign. On 11 and 13 September 4 vehicles belonging to AKP-MHP fascist collaborators were burned in Pendik Güzelyalı.”
