Masrour Barzani visits Ankara

The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, is visiting Ankara to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

It grabs attention that Barzani’s delegation includes no officials from the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Barzani will first meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his Ankara visit.

It is further reported that Barzani will have talks with the Turkish Foreign Minister and former intelligence head, Hakan Fidan, and other Turkish officials during the visit.

The Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani visited Turkey and met his Turkish counterpart, Erdogan, in April 2022.

Although there was no winner in the first round of the presidential election held on May 14, Nechirvan Barzani sent a congratulatory message to Erdogan.
