At least 10 people have been taken into custody this morning in Istanbul as a result of house raids within the scope of so-called “KCK operations”.

The operation by TEM (anti-terror unit) police teams of Istanbul Security Directorate was carried out in Avcýlar and Maltepe districts of Istanbul.

The initial reports coming report ten people taken into custody but the number is likely to increase. Detainees were taken to the Security Directorate after medical examinations.

The reason of the arrests has not been disclosed.
