Memorial for YPG martyr in Sydney

YPG fighter Zerdeşt Efrîn, who fell in Rojava in 2018, has been commemorated in Sydney.

An event was organised in the Democratic Kurdish Community Centre in Sydney, Australia to pay tribute to YPG fighter Zerdeşt Efrîn who fell in Rojava in the resistance against Afrin on 28 January 2018.

YPG fighter’s mother Süreyya Soko attended the event via Skype and said the following; “Zerdeşt Efrîn is not our martyr alone. He is the martyr of all Kurdish people and he fell on our sacred lands.”

Brother Bedri Soko said; “Zerdeşt resisted to the end to make sure that the barbaric enemies do not reach our people.”

DTKM co-chairs Gülfer Olan and Bayram Bozbeyoğlu also spoke at the event.
