Memorial on 20th anniversary of death of Italian activist Dino Frisullo

A memorial was held in Rome to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Italian activist Dino Frisullo.

More than 300 people attended the memorial held in Rome to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Italian activist Dino Frisullo.

The event, promoted by Senza Confine, the Kurdish Committee, Rete Kurdistan and other groups, was attended by Dino Frisullo's friends, the head of the Rome municipality policy department, the former mayor of Riace Mimmo Lucano, and representatives of the Pakistan, Bangladesh and Palestine committees.

Lawyer Simonetta Crisci, President of Senza Confine, said that Dino's life and work have a special place in everyone’s heart.

Many of those present at the event wanted to share their memories of Dino Frisullo.

Former senator and spokesperson of the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan Committee, Giovanni Rosso Spena, talked about the role Frisullo played in the Kurdish struggle and during Abdullah Öcalan's stay in Italy.

The Kurdish Committee activists spoke about the work of Dino Frisullo for the Musa Anter Peace Train in 1997.

Dino Frisullo was arrested at the 1998 Amed Newroz and was tried in Turkey.
