Memorial in Ulm for Grup Yorum member Ibrahim Gökçek

Grup Yorum member Ibrahim Gökçek, who died 2 days after ending his 323-day long death fast was commemorated in Ulm, Germany. Around 100 people attended the memorial.

A memorial was held in Ulm for Grup Yorum Ibrahim Gökçek, who ended his death fast on the 323th day and passed away two days later. He was on death fast demanding the abolition of concert bans and state pressure on art and culture.

Around 100 people attended the commemoration held in front of Ulm Tohum Cultural Center. The memorial was organized by the Ulm Grup Yorum Collective.

The commemoration, which started with a minute silence, was attended by activists from ADHF, AGİF, AKM, ATİF, DİDF, People's Front, KON-MED and SYKP.

The organizers delivered short messages of commemoration and so did representatives of some of the supporting institutions.

All speakers said that they will reclaim the struggle of Ibrahim Gökçek, Mustafa Koçak and Helin Bölek.
