Hundreds of people are taking the streets in Mersin to protest against the High Elections Board decision to banned BDP supported candidates from contesting the elections.

Many shops did not open in protest and young people are staging a noisy protest reclaiming their rights.

Mersin independent candidate, journalist Ertugrul Kurkçu is one of the banned candidates. He was in Mersin on Saturday where he joined the anti nuclear human chain.
