Turkish army launched military operations in Van and Hakkari Province the armed wing of the Kurdistan Worker Party (PKK) announced.

People's Defence Forces (HPG) released a statement about the military operations in Van and Hakkari provinces.

HPG said Turkish army continues its operations in Catak district of Van province for the last two days. Turkish soldiers were deployed in Geliye Tizize area and no clashes were reported between Turkish army and Kurdish guerillas.

Turkish army is also started an operation in near Kavale village of Hakkari. Kurdish guerillas reported no clashes between two sides.
