Minesweeping by SDF fighters en route to Raqqa
Syrian Democratic Forces fighters marching on towards Raqqa in the Operation Wrath of Euphrates deliver heavy blows to ISIS gangs. The area turned into a minefield is being cleared step by step.
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) fighters advancing towards Raqqa are disposing of the mines in villages liberated from ISIS. Desperate against the fighters, the gangs have turned the region into a veritable minefield.
The village of Kehibal, 50 km to the east of Raqqa, was liberated after intense 2-day long clashes. In the search mission conducted in the village, many landmines were discovered.
ISIS mines are being defused by the SDF expert units. In the search mission, a truck that was booby trapped with an aircraft rocket was also defused.
