MLKP prisoners will start hunger strike on 3-8 January in solidarity with the growing hunger strikes demanding an end to the isolation regime imposed on Abdullah Öcalan.

Prisoners jailed as part of Marxist Leninist Communist Party (MLKP) case will join the growing hunger strike action in Turkey and Kurdistan prisons on January 3.

A written statement made by MLKP prisoners said the following;

“As MLKP case prisoners, we are starting a hunger action between 3-8 January to support the hunger strike launched by DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven in order for the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan to end and for his freedom to be ensured.

Leyla Güven’s demands are legitimate and must be answered.

Remove the isolation on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.”
