More BDP members sent to prison

Ten members of BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Manisa organization were yesterday arrested and sent to Manisa E-Type Prison on the grounds of “praising the crime and criminal, deliberately aiding an organization, spreading propaganda and being member of an organization”. 14 members of BDP Manisa organization were on 11 February taken into custody as a result of house raids within the scope of “KCK” operations. Four were released after testifying to the prosecutor.

Including a child, 14 people were similarly arrested in Adana for allegedly “committing crime on behalf of an organization despite not being a member of it”. Out of 42 people who were on 10 February taken into custody in Adana and Mersin within the scope of “KCK” operations, 28 were released on conditions of trial without arrest. Among them are also 15 children.

On the other hand, DIHA and ETHA former worker Banu Yýldýz was on 14 February taken into custody in Istanbul within the scope of co-called “KCK” operation. Following a health control at Forensic Medicine Institute, Yýldýz was taken to the Political Branch of Istanbul Security Directorate.
