Five people who were taken into custody on 12 February in simultaneous house raids in several districts of Istanbul have been arrested by the court today.

While four of the detainees were arrested on charges of arranging acts for 15 February, one other person who was detained in an operation targeting DHKP/C organization at the same date was arrested for allegedly arranging an act for 30 March, the anniversary of Kýzýldere operation where the leader of the Turkey's People's Liberation Party-Front (THKP-C) Mahir Çayan and his comrades were killed on 30 March of 1972.

On the other hand, four people have been taken into custody in Kaðýzman district of Kars province where police teams of both Kars and Kaðýzman Security Directorates carried out house raids at many addresses early this morning.

While the operation is reported to have been carried out upon the instruction of Erzurum Special Authorized Public Prosecutor, detainees were taken to Security Directorates of Kars and Kaðýzman.
