Eight people have been arrested in Mersin today for allegedly "bearing molotov cocktail and explosives". Among 12 people who were taken into custody on 15 February as a result of house raids in Þevket Sümer Neighborhood, four were released after giving their statements to the court.

Three other people were arrested in Çaldýran district of Van after being taken into custody on 15 February when security forces carried out great operations at the 13th anniversary of the capture of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The High Criminal Court charged detainees with "spreading propaganda for an organization" and "bringing members in the organization". Only one of the detainees was released after giving statement to the court.
