PYD Co-President Saleh Moslem and PUK Politburo member Melle Bahtiyar met with civilians in Athens.

PYD Co-President Saleh Moslem and PUK Politburo member Melle Bahtiyar arrived at Athens in order to attend the SYRIZA congress and met with civilians here. Moslem and Bahtiyar attended a meeting organized by the Greece People’s Assembly in the Economy University in Athens.

Moslem evaluated the latest developments in Kurdistan and said "Historic developments are taking place in Syria and Rojava. Kurds are actively participating in this process and are building their own system. However, certain powers are not happy and show hostility towards Kurdish gains. The only concerns of Kurdish people are their freedoms and status. Nobody will gain anything from enmity towards the Kurds. However, they can gain a lot from friendship with the Kurds."

Moslem also called upon the groups that prevent the National Congress from creating Kurdish unity to stop their approach.

BAHTİYAR: KURDS MUST BE SUPPORTED IN ALL FOUR PARTS

PUK Politburo member Melle Bahtiyar stated that Kurds lead the struggle for democracy in the Middle East, and called upon the world to acknowledge this. Bahtiyar said that Kurds must be supported in all four parts, not just in the South, and the National Congress must be organized immediately. Bahtiyar called upon everyone to increase their efforts for this and give up on their approach preventing Kurdish unity, and said that Kurdish people should answer new treaties resembling Lausanne Treaty with the National Congress.
