Mothers returned to Esenyurt despite police harassment

The mothers were once again harassed by police who told them to leave as isolation has been lifted.

The sit-in to support the hunger strike resistance organised by mothers in Esenyurt square has reached day 26.

The mothers said they are determined to continue their action in support of the hunger strike resistance until isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is really lifted. Families of the prisoners on hunger strike and death fast gathered in Esenyurt Square in Istanbul wearing white headscarves and confirmed that unless a clear statement comes about the end of isolation, they will not leave the square.

The mothers were once again harassed by police who told them to leave as isolation has been lifted. Yet the mothers replied that until there is a clear confirmation of isolation having been lifted, they would continue their protest.
