MSD delegation meets Lavrov in Moscow

The Syrian Democratic Council delegation continues its talks in Russian capital Moscow.

After the declaration of a “memorandum of understanding” with the Popular Will Party at a press conference earlier today, the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) delegation moved to the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow.

The MSD delegation is made up of MSD Executive Committee co-chair Ilham Ehmed, her deputy Hikmet Hebîb, Syriac Union Party leader Senherib Barsum and the MSD representative in Egypt, Sihanok Dibo.

The delegation here met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. During the meeting, the two parties talked about the solution of the Syrian crisis, the Constitutional Committee talks ongoing in Geneva and humanitarian aid.

The Syrian Democratic Council was founded in 2015 and is the political umbrella that provides the political framework for resolving the Syrian conflict through inter-Syrian talks and diplomatic work. Political parties, civil society, the autonomous administration of North and East Syria and key figures are represented in the MSD.
