Narin Güran murder: Indictment accepted

The indictment prepared on the murder in Amed of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in August and found dead in September, was accepted today.

8-year-old Narin Güran went missing on 21 August in Tavşantepe (Çullî) rural neighbourhood in Bağlar district of Amed (Diyarbakır), and her lifeless body was found on 8 September. The little girl was put in a sack after she was killed and brought to the streamside, placed in the water in the sack, which was covered with tree branches and stones in a way that did not arouse suspicion and gave a natural appearance.

The indictment prepared against Narin’s uncle Salim Güran, mother Yüksel Güran, brother Enes Güran and their neighbour Nevzat Bahtiyar was accepted by Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court on Wednesday.

The court demanded aggravated life imprisonment for 4 defendants, all of whom are in prison, on the charge of ‘participation in intentional killing against a child’.

The 4 defendants will appear before court on 7 November.
