Germany Democratic Kurdish Society Center (NAV-DEM) issued a written statement on the marches and rallies that will be held with the motto "Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan" tomorrow.

In its statement, NAV-DEM drew attention to the risks surrounding Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s health and life, and said "Our people and allies should take continuous action with the motto "Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan" against the unlawful treatment of Mr. Öcalan, attempts for the annihilation of Kurds, and the concept of surrender threatening opposition groups."

NAV-DEM stated that the fascist AKP-MHP government is putting the representatives of Kurdish people, journalists, intellectuals, revolutionaries and democrats through political and physical genocidal, and described resistance against this treatment as a moral duty.

'WE ARE PUT THROUGH A HISTORIC TEST'

In its statement, NAV-DEM said that patriots and democrats are being put through a historic test, and called upon revolutionaries, democrats, socialists, progressives, and people of all faith and ethnic groups to strengthen their unity and to struggle against the policies of the Turkish state.

Lastly, NAV-DEM called upon the aforementioned groups to raise their voices and participate in the marches and rallies that will be carried out across Germany this weekend.
