Eighteen people were taken into custody today in Urfa and Diyarbakýr cities within the scope of raids allegedly targeting so-called “KCK’s Youth Branch”.
A total of 15 people were taken into custody in Urfa and its districts Viranþehir, Birecik, Suruç and Ceylanpýnar. Following the raids which were carried out by police and gendarmerie units together, detainees were taken to the Anti-Terror Branch of Urfa Security Directorate.
While the houses of detainees were searched in detail, their books and many other things were also seized by police.
On the other hand, three people who were taken into custody in Bismil district of Diyarbakýr were taken to Bismil District Security Directorate.
The reason for detentions isn’t known yet.
