AKP Istanbul MP Mehmet Doðan Kubat presented a law proposal for a new amendment of regulations concerning meetings of arrested and convicted prisoners with their lawyers and relatives.

The law proposal which has been prepared with the instruction of PM Erdoðan and suggests visit ban for PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan also serves as a step to legalize the isolation of the PKK leader.

While proposing visit ban for PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, the law proposal allows Ergenekon prisoner and CHP (Republican's People Party) opposition MP Mehmet Haberal to meet his mother.

The proposal puts forward the restriction of meetings with lawyers and other people up to six months.

In September ANF reported about the instruction that Erdoðan gave to lawmaker staff officers for an “administrative and legal” regulation to prepare a substructure for the illegal ban visit imposed on Öcalan.
