Hundreds of Kurds and friends of Kurdish people gathered together in central Tokyo to celebrate Newroz. The celebrations were organized by Kurdish Cultural Association.

During the celebrations, Kurdish MP Faysal Sariyildiz delivered a speech via phone about the recent developments in Kurdistan. The main theme of his speech was Afrin.

After the speeches, Kurds celebrated Newroz with music and Kurdish traditional dances.
