AKP-MHP banned Newroz celebrations with the motto "We will prevail" in many centers. The governorate did not give permission to the Newroz celebration at the Bakırköy Public Market in İstanbul.

Therefore, Newroz will be celebrated in all districts across the city. People will take initiative to celebrate Newroz in their neighborhoods and districts across İstanbul. Celebrations will take place in 3 regional centers on Tuesday, March 21.

Below is the celebration schedule for İstanbul on March 21:

First region: Sultanbeyli district, Hamidiye neighborhood and Kartal Square

Second region: Sultangazi district, Gazi City Park and Gaziosmanpaşa neighborhood and Karayolları Square

Third region: Bağcılar district, Kirazlı neighborhood Metro Square and Küçükçekmece district, Kanarya neighborhood near Kadriye Moroğlu High School
