The boat which takes visitors to Imralý prison island where PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan has been since 1999, was again reported broken by the authorities. This time it was the family of the Kurdish leader to be prevented from going and seeing their kin.

Öcalan has being prevented from seeing his lawyers since 27 July 2011. Now it appears problems are being made for his family as well. The brother of the Kurdish leader Mehmet Öcalan has said that last Friday they had applied for a visit today, but they were told the boat was not working.
