Öcalan denied meeting with his lawyers

Lawyers for Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan have seen their request for visit turned down by the authorities once more. It is now over six months that Öcalan's rigt to meet his lawyers is denied without anyone in the international community saying anything.

This time Turkish authorities said the visit was not possible because of the weather condition.

Kurds all over Turkey and in Europe have been protesting againt the regime of isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader.

Different associations held demonstrations in Ýzmir, Aðrý, Istanbul, Adana and Diyarbakýr in order to draw attention to the prisoners on hunger strike to protest against the isolation regime in which Abdullah Öcalan is forced to live.

In Aðrý Lezgin Baydak declared on behalf of the Association of Help and Solidarity with Families of Un-convicted and Convicted Prisoners (TUHAYD-DER): "This is our call to the AKP (Justice and Development Party) government and state. All political and military operations as well as the isolation of Mr. Öcalan must be ended. We want the Kurdish issue to be solved in a democratic way."

In Europe Kurds have begun their "Long March" from Geneva to Strasbourg to highlight the condition of the Kurdish leader and to ask for peace.
