Öcalan expected to assess the solution process today

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and parliamentary group deputy chair Pervin Buldan have left for İmralı for a new meeting with Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. During today's meeting, Öcalan is expected to make a detailed assessment of the democratic solution process.

It is not clear yet whether the BDP executives will make a statement after their their return to Istanbul in the afternoon.

Demirtaş and Buldan had also been part of the delegation to İmralı in the previous occasion on 24 June.
