Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's family and lawyers have filed another application to Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office demanding access to İmralı.
Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's lawyers Cengiz Çiçek, Mazlum Dinç and Faik Özgür Erol, and his brother and sister Mehmet and Fatma Öcalan have re-applied to Bursa Public Prosecutor's Office for a meeting with the Kurdish leader in İmralı Island Prison where he is held.
While all the applications filed by Öcalan's family and lawyers for a visit have been rejected with various excuses after the failed coup attempt, Bursa 1st Enforcement Judicature has recently banned Öcalan and other prisoners held in İmralı the right to a visit, written communication and phone conversation during the course of the State of Emergency set to last three months across Turkey.
In response to the court decision, Öcalan's lawyers announced that they will continue their applications demanding a visit to İmralı until they are granted access.
