Once again people joined Friday Civil Prayer in their thosuands

Once again, thousands of Kurdish Muslims gathered for the Friday Civil Prayers across Turkey against Prime Minister R. Tayyip Erdoðan and ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) policy against Kurds. Imams’ performed a common sermon and said that ‘our only enemy is one who denies truths’ regarding Erdoðan’s speeches and the government’s denial policy against Kurdish people.

Diyarbakýr and its districts Silvan, Bismil, Lice and Ergani; Hakkari and its district Yüksekova; Ýstanbul’s districts Aksaray, Sultanbeyli and Baðcýlar; Urfa and its districts Viranþehir, Ceylanpýnar and Suruç; Mersin’s central district Akdeniz; Batman; Adana’s central district Seyhan; Þýrnak and its districts Cizre, Silopi, Ýdil and Beytüþþebap; Siirt and its district Kurtalan; Mardin and its districts Nusaybin, Kýzýltepe and Derik; Antep; Van and its districts Erciþ and Baþkale; Aðrý’s districts Patnos and Doðubayazýt; Muþ and its districts Bulanýk, Malazgirt and Varto; Bitlis’s district Tatvan; Ýzmir’s district Bayraklý; Aydýn center; Antalya’ center; Manisa center and its district Turgutlu are the cities where the mass Friday Prayers were held and the common sermon was in Kurdish.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executives, Labor, Democracy and Freedom Block’s candidates, representatives and members from many NGOs attended the prayers where the all Kurdish sermons were in the Democratic Solution Tents.

In the most places, people cannot pray inside the tents because of crowds.

The common points of the sermons were Kurdish identity and the government’s denial policy causing many Kurdish youngsters’ lives.

“Being Muslim requires denying cruelty and discrimination between human. No one is better than other. No one forbid people’s religious beliefs or language. If we want to pray in Kurdish no one prevent us from praying because of our language. There are billions Muslims in the world, praying in their own language. How this could be wrong or against the laws? Everyone needs to understand that we are Kurdish and will pray in Kurdish,” said Imams in the sermons.
