One dead, 25 wounded in blast in Nusaybin

Last night's blast in Nusaybin district of Mardin left 25 people wounded, including 4 heavily. A man guessed to have been passing by the scene lost his life in the blast which occurred in a market on Sakarya Avenue in Yeni Turan neighborhood.
While the cause was not immediately clear, the blast also damaged the houses and workplaces around.
Following the dispatchment of many fire brigade trucks and ambulances to the scene, anti-riot vehicles also intervened the fire with pressure water. Many people who remained stuck in the building were saved by means of fire brigade trucks and cranes.
While the 25 wounded were taken under treatment at Nusaybin State Hospital, 4 among those with critical injuries were referred to Mardin State Hospital and Kızıltepe Private İpekyolu Hospital.
Those critically wounded in the blast have been identified as M. Emin Kazan (35), Emine Vural (33), İvan Herem (30) and Zeki Muhammed (58).
