One-man performance against attacks on Kurdistan

The performance was organised by actor Murat Yildiz in Limassol.

Theater actor Murat Yildiz performed a one-man action, to draw attention executions, and the photos of demolished cities and the ruins of Cizre and Sur were exhibited.

In addition to the photos exhibited in front at the action, there was also a notebook in which people were asked to write their comments and thoughts.

The actor, eyes blindfolded, also tied himself to a tree to draw attention to death penalty.

Actor Murat Yildiz told ANF: "Today is the anniversary of Roboski. Although 7 years passed, no answer was given as to who was responsible for this massacre."

Unfortunately, the actor added, "the massacres against the Kurdish people are continuing. There is an intense attack on all 4 parts of Kurdistan. Turkey attacked Maxmur camp that is under protection of the United Nations."

The actor said: "Turkey attacks with the same intensity Rojava and North Kurdistan carrying out fascist and inhumane practices. Likewise, the Iranian regime executes human rights defenders and activists. Every Kurdish person should take to the streets to protest against the oppression in Kurdistan.”

Actor Murat Yildiz ended his remarks by commending the hunger strike carried out by HDP Hakkari MP, Leyla Güven and other friends to demand the end of the isolation imposed on Mr. Abdullah Öcalan.

"We must not remain insensitive to all this. - said Yildiz - Together we can raise our voice and end this situation."
